Lumenspar is a desktop app that runs entirely on your computer. It has no server, no accounts of its own, no analytics and no advertising. Its authors receive none of your data.

What stays on your computer

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you turn it on, Lumenspar signs in to Google through Lumenspar's Google Cloud project (or, if you choose, a project of your own) and asks for two permissions:

This data goes only between your computer and your own Google account. Signing in through Lumenspar's project gives its maintainer no access to your Drive, your wish history or your email address; Google only shows the maintainer overall usage numbers, such as how many requests the app makes. Lumenspar's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. To stop it, press Sign out in the app, or remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The backup itself can be deleted in Google Drive under Settings → Manage apps, with the app's Delete hidden app data option.

Web viewer

The Lumenspar viewer is a web page that runs entirely in your browser. When you sign in with Google there, it asks only for drive.appdata (Lumenspar's hidden folder in your Drive) and reads the summary the desktop app backs up there. The sign-in token stays in the page while it is open and is sent only to Google; nothing is sent to Lumenspar or anyone else, and nothing is stored in the browser, except a web client ID of your own if you choose to enter one.
